Upkeeping (“the App”) is provided by Safalfa Advisors FZ-LLC (“we”, “us”). The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us.
What we collect
Nothing. The App has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, usage data, or any device identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics services.
This is worth stating plainly, because it is unusual: the App makes no network requests to any server of ours. We do not operate a backend for the App, which is an architectural fact rather than a promise about how we behave.
Data stored on your device
What you enter — the items you track, their intervals, and the dates you marked them done — is saved on your device. It is permanently removed when you delete the App and turn off its iCloud sync.
iCloud
Your data is tied to your Apple Account and kept in your own private iCloud storage, so it follows you across your devices and is included in your iCloud backup. It sits under your Apple Account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to it: we cannot read it, export it, or recover it for you. You can turn iCloud off for the App in iOS Settings, under your Apple Account → iCloud; new data then stays on the device only, and anything already held in iCloud remains under your Apple Account until you delete it there.
Location
The App may ask for your location. This is optional and the App works fully without it. It is used only to compute sunrise, sunset, and moon phase on the device for the widget’s ambient display. A coarse, city-level position is requested rather than a precise one, the calculation is local, and your location is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App schedules them locally on your device to tell you what is due. There is no push server, and no notification content leaves your device.
Purchases
The App does not currently offer any in-app purchase or subscription. If that changes, purchases would be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, we would never receive or store your payment details, and we would receive only aggregated, anonymous sales information from Apple, never information that identifies you.
No data sharing
Because we collect no personal data, we have nothing to sell, share, or disclose to third parties.
Children
The App is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the updated version at https://safalfa.com/upkeeping/privacy with a new effective date.
