Getting into Bhujapidasana
From a squat with your feet slightly wider than your hips, place your hands flat on the floor between and slightly in front of your feet. Lean forward, bending your elbows slightly, and hook first one shin and then the other high up over your upper arms near your shoulders. Shift your weight into your hands, cross your ankles in front of you, and lower your hips down between your arms, squeezing your thighs against your upper arms for support.
What a teacher would tell you
- Squeeze the arms with the thighs.
- Cross the ankles.
- Lower down slowly.
These are the corrections My Ashtanga speaks aloud while you hold the posture.
