Getting into Supta Kurmasana
From Kurmasana, bend your knees again and cross your ankles in front of your head. Reach your arms around behind your back and clasp your hands (or hold your own wrists) so your whole body folds into a compact, bound shape with your head tucked toward the floor.
What a teacher would tell you
- Bind the hands behind the back.
- Relax the neck and jaw.
- Breathe into the back body.
These are the corrections My Ashtanga speaks aloud while you hold the posture.
