Getting into Ubhaya Padangusthasana

Lying on your back, take hold of both big toes, then exhale and rock forward, rolling up along your spine to balance on your sit bones. Straighten both legs up and slightly apart into a V shape, keeping your chest lifted and back straight, and hold the balance for the five breaths.

What a teacher would tell you

  • Balance on the sit bones.
  • Legs straight, arms straight.
  • Chest lifted, not rounded.

These are the corrections My Ashtanga speaks aloud while you hold the posture.
