Getting into Paschimottanasana C

The deepest grip: reach past your feet and clasp one wrist with the other hand, wrapping around the outside of the soles. Fold forward from the hips, drawing the chest toward the legs. Only take this grip if you can reach it comfortably without rounding your back, otherwise stay with catching the feet.

What a teacher would tell you

  • Clasp one wrist beyond the feet.
  • Keep the legs active.
  • Crown reaching toward the feet.

These are the corrections My Ashtanga speaks aloud while you hold the posture.
