Getting into Upavistha Konasana A

Sitting with your legs spread wide apart on the floor, flex your feet and place your hands on the floor in front of you. Keeping your spine long, walk your hands forward (or twist toward one leg at a time) and fold forward from your hips between your legs.

What a teacher would tell you

  • Catch the outer feet.
  • Fold from the hips.
  • Legs straight and active.

These are the corrections My Ashtanga speaks aloud while you hold the posture.
