Getting into Utthita Parsvakonasana
From the wide stance with your right foot turned out, bend your right knee to a right angle, keeping the knee tracking over the ankle. Bring your right forearm or hand to the floor inside your right foot, and reach your left arm in a long line over your ear, so your body makes one diagonal line from your back heel to your top fingertips.
Described on the right side. On the left, swap right for left throughout.
What a teacher would tell you
- Hook the arm around the outer thigh.
- Side waist long.
- Stamp both feet evenly.
These are the corrections My Ashtanga speaks aloud while you hold the posture.
